Calarasi, Romania - Multisport

ISF will partner with Hope For Tomorrow's Generation in Calarasi, Romania, a small town 78 miles southeast of the capital city of Bucharest and a short drive to the boarder of Bulgaria. We are set to host our second annual multisport camp here where we will host an average of 65-70 8- to 14-year-old children. The sports offered throughout the week are: football, soccer, track and field, fencing, basketball, and fun camp games. We are looking for fun, high energy volunteers to help with this incredible camp. Our purpose is to use sports to draw the kids to the camp where they will get to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

What to Expect

Our team will host the multisport camp in Calarasi Tuesday through Friday. We will start each morning with breakfast, bible study, and prayer time. The camp lasts from 9 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Each sport station is designed to be fun and engaging, and lasts approximately 30 minutes. Campers receive lunch each day, and afterward our coaches will sit down with the campers and share a bible study. On Monday we will drive to the Danube River and take a ferry across to get to a local village just across the boarder in Bulgaria. We will host a fun sports activity for the kids in this village and give food donations to the families. On our sightseeing afternoon we will spend time in Silistra, Bulgaria, where we will have pizza and walk around the city.
